We are delighted to share an update on our latest tree‑planting initiative, made possible through the Hampshire Forest Partnership. Thanks to their support, we received 15 disease‑resistant elms, part of an ongoing effort to reintroduce resilient elm varieties.
This latest batch of young trees has now found new homes across several key sites in Alton, including Anstey Park, Will Hall Meadow and the new Alton Gateway area near Butts Bridge.
At Anstey Park, on Wednesday 27th January, we were joined by 12 enthusiastic students from Eggar’s School, who rolled up their sleeves and helped with digging and planting, they did an excellent job. Their energy and teamwork made a huge difference and it was wonderful to see young people getting hands-on with local environmental projects.
