Alton Town Council has accepted the resignation of seven members of the Alton Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group following the decision by Councillors at the Full Council meeting on 4th September when it Resolved to DEFER the Regulation 14 consultation to prepare a revised Draft Neighbourhood Plan, to include all sites in the Land Availability Assessment (LAA), to go out to consultation.
The Town council would like to take this opportunity to thank the Steering Group for the work they have undertaken to date and for their dedication and commitment to the neighbourhood plan process.
The Town Council wishes to assure residents of its commitment to produce a Neighbourhood Plan for Alton and going forward will be looking to appoint a new Steering Group with more details to follow on its constitution, terms of reference and composition.
The Town Council also re-affirms the appointment of ONH, its Neighbourhood Plan consultants who will be continuing to provide the Council with consultancy advice on its Neighbourhood Plan.
