We would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who crocheted and knitted poppies for Alton’s Remembrance display. We received over 500 handmade poppies which were added to the existing display that we have been using since 2018.
Alton Town Mayor, Annette Eyre said:
“I have been genuinely touched by the kindness and effort that’s gone into making these handmade poppies. Thank you to everyone who took part, your contributions show just how strong our community spirit is.“
Each poppy is a symbol of remembrance and community spirit.
