East Hampshire District Council (EHDC) has confirmed that it has received the required 10 requests from residents to hold a by-election for the vacant councillor role on Alton Town Council for Whitedown ward. It will take place on 11 June 2026. It is not possible to hold it on the same day as the Hampshire County Council elections on 7 May.
Nominations for the role must be received by EHDC by 4pm on Thursday, 14 May 2026. If anyone wishes the discuss the role of town councillor, they are welcome to get in touch with the Town Clerk, Tom Horwood.
