Alton: A Town To Discover And Explore
Alton Town Council have been working with local presenting duo and proud Altonians, Luke & Elliott, on a mini-series to promote Alton by embarking on a journey of discovery and exploration through their hometown of Alton.
With a different focus for each episode (from Alton’s history, to its people, to things to do, as well as looking ahead to its bright future), these promotional videos were primarily made for new people to the area but we are sure they will jog the memory, excite the mind, and provide optimism for what’s to come in and around the town.
Featuring interviews from local experts and societies, footage of shops and venues on the high street, and many personal resident’s stories along the way, this 4-part series is all about showcasing the best of a place so many people call home. Thank you to everyone involved.

We’ve been filming on and off for over a year now, sampling all that Alton has to offer in terms of activities, personalities, and culture. And it’s been great fun! We’ve Morris danced, litter picked, played Victorian Cricket, ridden the Watercress Line on Thomas the Tank Engine, tasted the finest local beer and cuisine on offer, and that was all just one weekend! We hope these episodes will be a window into the beauty and brilliance of Alton!”.
