FREE Family Fun Every Week in the Public Gardens, Alton
This summer, families are invited to enjoy a lively, laughter-filled hour each week with Fun Fridays in the Public Gardens – a series of free children’s entertainment running every Friday during the summer holidays from 2:00pm to 3:00pm.
Organised by Alton Town Council, Fun Fridays are designed to bring joy, entertainment, and fresh air fun to local families for free.
Perfect for children under 8 years but everyone is welcome – just bring your imagination and plenty of energy! If it rains Fun Fridays will take place in the Assembly Rooms. Each week will feature a different act or activity:
FRIDAY 25TH JULY
PROFESSOR POTTY
An amazing children’s magician, Professor Potty is… potty! Cue lots of gasps and heaps of laughter! A fast-paced, laugh-a-minute show filled with crazy tricks, slapstick fun and unexpected surprises!
FRIDAY 1ST AUGUST
SCOTTY’S CIRCUS SKILLS
Step right up for a show of skills and thrills! Scotty will be dazzling the crowd with juggling, balancing acts, and hands-on circus fun. Kids can even try some tricks themselves. Join the circus – no ticket required!
FRIDAY 8TH AUGUST
MINI EXPLORERS
Adventure awaits! Join the Mini Explorers for a nature-inspired session packed with discovery, games and outdoor play. A perfect way for little ones to learn and explore the garden’s wonders. Let the adventure begin.
FRIDAY 15TH AUGUST
HAMPSHIRE DANCE FITNESS
Dance, move, and groove! Zumba Kids with Hampshire Dance Fitness brings high-energy routines and funky beats for a fun fitness party. Great for burning energy and building confidence – all while having a blast!
FRIDAY 22ND AUGUST
PUMPKIN PANTOS
Step into a world of imagination with Pumpkin Panto! Enjoy magical stories, lively characters, and interactive games in a fun-filled session for children.
Perfect for little storytellers and big imaginations.

MAGIC WANDA
Magic Wanda brings you a totally interactive experience with a magical blend of fun and magic, that you won’t forget – a place where smiles and laughter are guaranteed. Expect giggles, gasps and magical mayhem.
