Friends of King’s Pond
Do you enjoy spending time at King’s Pond? Can you spare a few hours one Wednesday morning a month to help out at the pond? You don’t need any gardening or conservation experience as guidance and instructions will be given on the day. Typical tasks around the pond that we help with include… tidying up of the weeds and over growth around the viewing points and benches, the sanding down and wood staining of the benches to enable visitors to be able to sit and enjoy the views across the pond, undertaking of specific conservation projects like the creation of the rewilding area etc. You don’t need any equipment as ATC will bring all the tools along however a good pair of gardening gloves is essential. The sessions are a great way to meet other members of the community, get outside and enjoy nature whilst helping with conservation and projects at the pond.
