Alton Town Council is deeply sadden to learn of the passing of former Town Mayor & Councillor, Patrick “Paddy” Mendham who died on 27th December. Paddy will be sadly missed and remembered fondly for being a stalwart of the local community in which he served twice as Town Mayor from 1995-96 and again in 2005-2006. Paddy also represented the Council on two outside bodies, namely the Alton Community Hospital Stakeholders – Communication Group (ACHSCG) as well as Alton United Charities.
The family have advised that a Service of Thanksgiving is being held on Saturday, 11th January at 1.00 p.m. at St. Lawrence Church in Alton with afternoon refreshments being served following the service. All who knew Paddy are welcome.
