In 2021 Alton Town Council took ownership of the lower part of Will Hall Meadow (fronting the Basingstoke Road), with the land transferred into public ownership from Redrow Homes, developers of the Hop Field Place residential estate located off the New Odiham Road. 

The Town Council, working with local community representatives, have now appointed contractors Aquamaintain, to develop a management plan for the site. On 30th March 2022, the Town Council Open Spaces Committee approved the draft plan ready to seek the views of local residents. We would now like to invite you to review the proposed plan and complete a survey in order to be able to finalise the plan later this Spring.  The survey will close on Friday 29th April at Midday.
