For the Alton parade please meet in the Market Square at 10:00am to form up and set off at 10:30am. Veterans will follow current serving personnel to the Cairn, where the service will be held. There will be no need to “book” your place – simply come to either or both the parades. This includes anyone and everyone including those using a wheelchair or mobility aid – all are very welcome.

Former Town Councillor and Town Mayor of Alton, Derek Gardner says “this initiative follows discussions with fellow veterans who suggested that the inclusion of former service personnel in the Holybourne and Alton Remembrance Parades should be re-commenced having ceased some years ago.”

For both parades the Town Council is grateful to Sergeant Tom Bagley from the 613 Squadron Air Cadets who is the Parade Marshall.

For more information about both parades please speak to Samantha Brown at Alton Town Council on 01420 83986 or email info@alton.gov.uk
