King's Pond Bio-Blitz

Come and help experts carry out a real scientific survey at the King's Pond Bio-Blitz, on 26th June 2021.

The Bio-Blitz is a race against time to create a snapshot of the variety of life found in a specific location – this time at King’s Pond. Wildlife experts and the wider public will work together, within 24hrs, to find and identify in the area as many species of plants, animals and fungi as possible.  The data will be entered by Hampshire Biodiversity Information Centre (HBIC) on the day and hourly finds totals will be announced at the event and live social media. The results from the Bio-Blitz surveys will then be published after the event.

There is a great variety of small expert led groups (max. 10 places per group) who will be identifying what wildlife, plants, trees, wildflowers, insects and birds that we have on the site. Please click here - King's Pond Bio-Blitz EventBrite link to pre-book your place as this must be done in advance to manage numbers and avoid disappointment on the day if groups are full.
