BMX Pump Track

Work started on the new BMX Pump Track at Anstey Park in October 2022 with substantial completion in early December. The pump track was opened in time for the Christmas holidays with just an area of surface painting and landscaping to be undertaken in early 2023. A second phase of works to install floodlighting in due spring/summer 2023.

The location has been chosen as it is conveniently located next to the existing play area, there is ample free parking and public toilets available at the park and the site is screened from the road but open enough within the park site to be visible and discourage antisocial behaviour.

The surface has a tarmac finish as it is quieter than concrete.

The project has been funded by Alton Town Council, District Community Infrastructure Levy and the EHDC Supporting Communities Fund.
