Walk 107 Shalden, Bentworth and Wivelrod

A
walk through pleasant countryside with a good mix of views taking in rolling
fields and lovely woodlands.
The route leads out of Alton through Flood Meadows, crossing the B3349 towards Shalden. The walks skirts the village, goes past the church and up a long lane to Bentworth, where we will have a short picnic lunch on the village green. We then walk round the back of Bentworth by the cricket ground and head towards Wivelrod, Beech and back through Ackender Woods and into town.
There are a number of hills, which are a mix of slow inclines and shorter sharper steep ones. There are 9 stiles plus some steep steps down a disused railway embankment.

All walks are free to attend but you must book in advance.
Sorry no dogs allowed.
All travel costs (buses, trains and parking) is at the expense of the walker.
Please arrive 15 mins before the start of the walk.
Please remember to wear suitable footwear, clothing, water and packed lunch with you.
A majority of the walks are in the countryside/woodland so rest stops for toilets may not be possible.
