Walk 93 Liss to Alton - Rail Ramble

You can take Train from Alton to Liss via Guildford or meet at Liss.

From Liss follow route of the Longmoor Military Railway and other paths to reach Greatham.

Then via footpaths and minor roads to Selborne Priory From here via more paths and minor roads to Hartley Mauditt and on to the A31 at Alton. The final challenge after carefully crossing the A31 is the climb up Windmill Hill before a the descent and a walk past Kings Pond to Alton station and a well earned cuppa or beer at the Railway Arms!

If travelling by bus participants must catch the 10 AM No 38 bus from Alton station to Liss, Paul Ebbutt will be getting on the bus at Alton Train Station. Please note it also stops in the High Street and at Sainsbury and at the community hospital/sports centre.

The walk will be starting from Liss station at 11 AM. This walk will take 5 hours inc stops. Packed lunch water & snacks essential. It has a few challenging hills.

A majority of the walks are in the countryside/woodland so rest stops for toilets may not be possible.
