THEMED WALK - Health and Wellbeing: A walk full of gratitude, joy and a celebration of all the absurdities that life and nature has to offer. Bring your favourite happy or silly stories to share or simply come with an open heart ready to listen and laugh. Let's wander through Ackender Woods and raise our vibrations, soaking up all the wonders of nature has to offer.

Additional information:

All walks are free to attend but you must book in advance.

Sorry no dogs allowed.

All travel costs (buses, trains and parking) is at the expense of the walker.

Please arrive 15 mins before the start of the walk.

Please remember to wear suitable footwear, clothing, water and packed lunch with you.

A majority of the walks are in the countryside/woodland so rest stops for toilets may not be possible.

Walk 77 Family Ghost Walk

It is 1867… a year that places Alton in the history books with a notoriety to rival that of Whitechapel of London. Beyond the tourist trail, the dark lanes and streets hide secrets of ghosts, conspiracy and smugglers. Join the Theatre of Dark Encounters as we bring these stories to life in a truly immersive experience, as ghosts of the past come to tell their tales of well-known haunting spots in the town, including; St Lawrence Church, Flood Meadows, The Crown Hotel and the Swan Hotel.

You will learn a little, you will laugh a little - but hopefully you will scream a lot…

A walk around Alton learning about the history of town's breweries from the 1500s.
Starts at the Curtis Museum - with a visit to the brewery display upstairs - and ending at the Allen Gallery.
