Take a guided tour around key historic landmarks in Alton such as St Lawrence Church and the Friends Meeting House.

Southern Villages of Alton

Follow a circuit of the local villages to the South of Alton (Chawton, Farringdon, Newton Valence, Selborne and Hartley Maudett) along established footpaths and country lanes.

Chawton and Lower Farringdon NEW for 2019

 

A short walk from The Butts to Chawton, walking pass Chawton House into woodland, over stiles and fields to Lower Farringdon.

Then back along the old railway line and fields into Chawton.

Winchester to Alton

A beautiful walk from Winchester to Alton. Starting off walking through the City of Winchester and then through picturesque

villages and countryside to Alton.

Start time and meeting point:

9:00 am Winchester Broadway

You can get the No 64 bus from Alton to Winchester. Timings are as follows:

08:03 - Alton Sainsburys

08:04  - Borovere Gardens

The walk will leave King Alfred's Statue at 9:00 am.
