Walk 43 Step into Gilbert White's Brewhouse: Circular walk Shortheath Common to Selborne

FULLY BOOKED CLICK HERE FOR WAITING LIST

Themed walk:
Circular walk from Shortheath Common via Oakhanger stream and Priory Farm to Selborne. A brief visit to Gilbert White's original Brewhouse (restored and operating as a micro-brewery) with a mini-taster of ale. Return via the Hangers Way and back via Shortheath Common. The walk covers mixed terrain with some uphill walking into Selborne and out to the Hangers Way. It may be muddy in places so please wear stout footwear.

Please note there are several stiles en route, some of which are rather wobbly, so you will need to take care on these. There may be livestock in some fields: this is something that can change at short notice, so please be aware of the possibility of this.  We will stop for a picnic lunch on the return route after our visit to the Brewhouse.

Start time and meeting point:

10:00 am Shortheath Common car park (near the pond). This is on the Oakhanger Road, off the B3004 from Alton.
